Meet Dr. Dominic J. Tolitano
Dr. Dominic J. Tolitano is a board-certified cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon. He earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University, completed his residency at Michael Reese Hospital & Medical Center, and then completed a fellowship in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center.
Dr. Tolitano has devoted his career to diagnosing and treating venous and vascular conditions, with a special focus on minimally invasive procedures that restore healthy blood flow and relieve symptoms caused by venous compression or obstruction. His expertise includes performing venograms and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) to accurately diagnose vein conditions, as well as providing treatments such as iliac vein balloon angioplasty and stenting.
At Illiana Vascular Center, Dr. Tolitano combines his decades of surgical and clinical experience with a patient-centered approach, offering individualized care for conditions such as May-Thurner Syndrome, Pelvic Congestion Syndrome, and Deep Vein Thrombosis. His training and dedication ensure that patients receive the highest level of care, with treatment plans designed to both improve circulation and enhance overall quality of life.
